About Us
Aker Music Studios is a husband and wife music studio duo located in Biddeford, Maine. We are dedicated to providing high quality music lessons to the Seacoast. Ellen specializes in teaching violin through the Suzuki Method and offers violin and viola lessons for beginners, intermediates, and advanced students. Seth specializes in teaching tuba and euphonium for all levels and offers lessons for other brass instruments for beginners through intermediate players.
We are currently offering lessons in Violin, Viola, Tuba, and Euphonium.
Ellen Bergeron
Ellen Bergeron is a native of New Hampshire, where she began her violin studies at the age of four. She completed her pre-college studies at Boston’s New England Conservatory Preparatory School before earning a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Music Education from the Eastman School of Music, followed by a Master of Music in Violin Performance and Literature from Eastman. During her time at Eastman, she served as concertmaster of the Eastman Philharmonia. Her principal teachers include Renée Jolles, Juliana Athayde, and the late Lynn Blakeslee.
Mrs. Bergeron has held positions with the New York State Ballet, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, St. Andrews Chamber Orchestra, Greece Symphony Orchestra, Waco Symphony Orchestra, Temple String Quartet, and has served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Temple Symphony Orchestra.
Ellen aspires to see all of her students fulfill their potential as a musician and as a citizen of the world. She desires to ensure that every student who steps inside her studio feels seen, respected, and inspired. Ellen has been teaching students of all ages for nearly a decade, and has seen many of her students go on to pursue music as a career.
Seth Aker
Seth attended the Baylor University school of music for and received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. He has been playing tuba since middle school and taught as a band director for several years in Texas. He specializes in teaching tuba, and is a skilled teacher of all brass instruments for all levels.
Having always love the marching arts, Seth is a three year veteran of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, a world championship winning ensemble. In addition to musical instruction, he provides lessons for performers who are looking to audition for drum corps
Seth has always had a passion for sharing music with others and is excited to be in Maine teaching music.
